After Corbu

Yglesias’s pastrami longing reminded me of Mani’s in LA, which is just like the Manny’s of Chicago…only vegan! In fact they cater to all manner of dietary restriction, as the above Lemon Poppy Seed Cake is wheat-free.

Yes, I realize that this is another instance of LA embracing the stereotype of new-age health obsession…but whatever, it’s good food, and a great spot for gawking at celebrities parking illegally to run in for a cookie.
