I never would have thought this staple of my childhood could age so poorly, but it has happened — possibly because I have reached parenting age. Numerous posts document the atrocities:

And that’s from the first page of search results. I almost feel this restaurant needs its own truth and reconciliation commission to let the thousand of abused parents tell their stories. I hope I never have to go back there.
Thus I figured Chuck E. Cheese was completely lame to the over-12 set. But no, apparently even the Parent’s Nam can have nostalgia-cool, and people are modifying the restaurant’s singing robots to perform hip-hop (Here’s the video). I am appalled and amused.
